I've been writing poetry since the early 90's and have been published in several online and print magazines.

Some of my favorite contemporary poets are Dorianne Laux, Li-Young Lee, Tony Hoagland, Sandra Cisneros, Kim Addonizio, Sharon Olds, Yusef Komunyakaa, Jane Kenyon, Gary Soto, and many others (see Links).

My favorite traditional poets include Anne Sexton, Carl Sandburg, Robert Frost, Edgar Allen Poe, Langston Hughes, Emily Dickenson, Dylan Thomas, Edna St. Vincent Millay and others.

My favorite unknown contemporary poet is Karen Masullo.

As you can probably tell, I do tend to enjoy contemporary poetry a bit more than the old tried and true traditional/literary poetry.
