To Be We pass in the night like ships on the sea. Wanting to be as one. Wishing we were together playing beneath the sun. Although it was never meant to be my mind can clearly see you, my love, my children and me beneath the shady tree. ---- Wishing Life before was so simple nothing to explain Then came the terror, the terror, the terror, the terror and the pain of being alone of being afraid of being free again. Seeking to find the meaning of life and why things must be like this. Seeking to find a path for my life Seeking to rearrange forty years of memories and a future left to change. Looking for the golden path Striving for wonderful life, crying in the darkness wishing for my wife. ---- Missing You I'd like to write a poem that would touch your very heart. I'd like to write a poem as the day is growing dark. I'd like to write a poem you'd feel deep in your soul I know I could, I know I could If only I were whole. ---- Fading Out Fading into the setting sun like a jumbo jet. Our love, my love, is done. We had our pleasure and too much pain. We seemed to be out of sync. We're both sincere but our dreams, I fear brought us to the brink. We grew up different you and I. We grew up just the same. Brought together by our past. A love we thought would last. A love destined to fall apart, for neither the other knew. Now we must continue down the paths we choose. Now no longer possible to step in each other's shoes. ---- Snowflakes I wish I were a snowflake dancing in the sky. I wish I were a shooting star gently streaming by. I wish I were the tiny tear slipping from your eye. For if I were I'd touch you and wouldn't have to die. ---- Knowing You I know your dreams as though they were mine as though I were your heart beating in time beneath your breast beating within your mind. I want to be within your dreams I want to be inside you. I want to give you joyously, everything in my soul.
